Crystal Gardening Science Project

would be a recipe in a box product laudry be concidred blueing meth?
It's a recipe that is being used to make "ice" and has led to an arrest in this case. it is a science project for kids to make a crystal garden at home using there product laundry blueing, coal plant and ammonia. As in this case the result was indeed a form of ammonia crystals, which grew very fast in the darkness, then (it happens that some people inforcement has said that drug was methamphetamine and was issued a search warrant. This material was taken as evedence and charges of possession of a controlled dangerous chemical was made with the homeowner. they can not now, not because meth havent sent to be tested yet and are already in the last stages before going to the track. will not, without evidence, if they do not show it to be meth, as they say?
I know nothing about how to make methamphetamine. I would be surprised if a recipe actually printed on the box produced an illegal drug. Somewhere along the line of crystals must have been tested by a laboratory. Unless you test positive for methamphetamine, charges should be dropped.
