JEWS: What is the meaning of "snake" in the garden?

It is the serpent as a talking animal in a Disney animated movie? It is understood as the voice of the inner man? It is a traitorous covering cherub? Later in the Torah, the image of a snake is equated with cure? What is the overview Jewish snake?

Bereishis is probably one of the books harder to understand. The interpretations of all, vary widely, depending on how it is studied. In Pshat (literal) level would be similar ecaxtly talkign states that if a serpent who is later punished by having to eat dust. The punishment that is seen as a way to remove it from the need to Gd as the dust is abundant and, therefore, without God's help is needed for subsistence. However, the level Pshat ahs many problems with it, not least, as many of poitn comemntators out that snakes do not eat dust! In Remez (alluded) and midrashic (allegorical) levels can be seen as the voice inside, the drive to do evil, even though we know better. As stated Zvi, the Midrash states that it was a snake with legs, but explains this as yetzer hara, our inner slope of evil that haunts us and makes us ill. In a more esoteric level, it is said that the yetzer hara's Eve was really obvious in a separate body. Once in the garden of Eden, had a natural inclination for yetzer tov (good inclination), the only way that could have yetzer hara power to influence the eve of a significant level if it is outside it for a while. Without this ability to influence it, there would be no meaningful choice to be made as yetzer tov in the Garden of Eden, combined with the presence of Gd, provided the abiltiy to make choices very limited. After the incident, when we were from the garden of Eden and yetzer hara has more power than the yetzer tov influence us, was completely internalized again. In this understanding, the punishment of the serpent "is that would persecute us, but he just bites his ankles, trying to pull us down, but are not able to really affect us unless we let the other hand, we can label on him, crushing his head, which represents the power of teshuvah, our ability to crush the yetzer hara and monitor the time yetzer tov
