Gardening Italian Cypress Trees
Need Suggestions Evergreen Trees (tall, slim and fast-growing)?
Hi, I need some suggestions. Looking to the diameter thin, fast-growing evergreens that will grow nice and tall for a privacy screen a neighbor's garden. Need something that at least goes to 12-15 feet tall (Or even higher is ok). I was looking for Italian cypress or juniper skyrocket, but not sure if they are fast growing or not. We live in Central Virginia, the area that would like to plant gets plenty of partial sun. Need to plant 80 foot trees, evergreen and thin diameter and rapid growth is a necessity. also looking for the spire arborvitae DeGroots since very high and narrow and appears to be sold a lot here.
Italian cypress tree is perfect for you! Tolerant to cold about 10 degrees. If you get a little colder than you can decorate with Christmas lights that you have decorated for the holidays, and also provide more heat on cold nights. I believe their is also something called cypress pencil that is very similar to an Italian cypress, much colder just tolerant. Also called a pine leaf pine time is great. Cold tollerant at 0 degrees. They grow very fast and can be trained to grow very thin. Good luck.
