Gardening Rhode Island
Need information about Vero Beach, someone who lives or been there can you help me?
I'm writing a novel, and the first held in Rhode Island because I was looking for a kind of small town setting, but then changed my mind and just stuck with Vero Beach. Precise information about it (specific) so I know all my information is accurate and I do not want a fake city. 1. The blue ocean water clear, green, etc.? 2. There is a certain age that you see on the beach more than others? 3. What are some of the shops, restaurant, or any other locations public area (eg, Walmart, Olive Garden, etc.) 4. Anything interesting about this area you can tell me please, Thank you all for your suggestions and help!
The water is not clear how it is further south. It's a blue-green color, but when the water is rough in the sand is pushed up making it look brown. Vero Beach has its share of sites listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Among them are the Driftwood Inn, Hallstrom House, Old Indian River Courthouse Building Maher, Old Palmetto Hotel and Railway Station Vero. One of the most visited sites is the McKee Jungle Gardens. There are typical locations in Vero main supermarket is Publix. There is a Walmart in town too. There is a small municipal airport and Disney has a resort on the beach there. John Walsh, Gloria Estovan, Jon Bon Jovi, the artist formerly known as Prince, author Carl Hiaasen and Mike Tyson all have homes in Vero. Vero is heavily populated by birds and snow is very busy during the winter months to retirees. The rest of the year is much quieter and you see more families around.
