Detective Story

Trainee Detective Corbett DA looked into the abyss before him. The man he was chasing had jumped easily enough, but he could? Man had planted a bomb in the middle of a city, people were killed and deep as it had appeared across the road. They were not very deep, but still large enough to make it hard to jump and deep enough to break a leg or an arm. As the man ran around a corner Corbett made his decision. He took a step back and then ran the crack jumping with ease. On the track, he turned the corner only to see the man pointing a gun, short upturned nose for it. Corbett could do every point on the balaclava black man, but before he could take a step a flash of red light emerged from the barrel. Corbett felt a twinge of pain in the chest and fell, tripping in a rock and landing with a thud on the floor.

Massaging the back, got up Corbett. The man had removed the hood and was looking at Corbett with pity in her eyes cold and hard. "Failed again David." He said calmly before suddenly shouting. "Every time! It is always a basic error in operation and one day, if you qualify to be a detective full true, it is the kind of mistake that will cost you your life! Got it? "Corbett hung his head and looked back up the angry man before responding. "Yes sir."
"Good." The man looked at the special suit that was Corbett wear and then politely asked all traces of anger gone. "I hope the laser wound dressing.

This should make you scared of being shot, but you always mess up things doing something wrong and a child of five could do! "The man looked at Corbett, unfortunately, before turning and marching off.

Corbett looked at his back, wishing for the millionth time that his boss was not as infallible. Sir James Gatling, the man who shot Corbett with the laser had been a special agent MI3 twenty years before becoming the head of MI3. A common sight around the barracks Trainee detective that he chewed bottles instead of gum. Corbett stayed there for a few moments before of slowly wandering away.
As Corbett joined the PTC (Compound Physical Training), he paused, looking through the doors. As he had no training test its goal of becoming a detective was getting farther away. He will probably soon have training missions in an environment of virtual reality. Feeling very angry, he turned and made his way back to the intern accommodation.

When he arrived, his worst fears were confirmed. Sitting in his pigeon hole was a red card. That was bad. The second bad thing was someone asleep in his bed! Corbett went to the pigeon hole and tore the red card. It was worse than he thought. He was being expelled from school detective. Sudden sadness gripped Corbett and he sat down. The letter told him to pack up, return all live ammunition and firearms and leave it until tomorrow at noon. Corbett looked at the letter in five minutes, only being shaken from their reverie by someone who was on his way, Stephen Thomas. Stephen (Steve or his companions) was a smart but stubborn young man. He was 22 and four years older than Steve Corbett, but could pass for young Corbett. Steve has always been being praised by the head and for a moment, Corbett felt a pang of jealousy. Steve was his best mate Steve, but it was better detective. Steve was all I wanted to be Corbett, but could never achieve, could never even dream.
"Hey David! Heard Gatling gave him a hard time at first. You okay?" David nodded, hiding the letter behind his back.
"Yes, he did. But I'm fine." David said.
"Good. I have to go and changed so I'll see you at dinner, who knows? "
"Yeah. I'll see you later." Steve turned to his dorm as Corbett arrived at a decision. He would Gatling he was a good detective. Corbett got up and ran to the door, running to the arsenal.

Corbett skidded into the arsenal, almost running into Arnold Coleman the gunsmith.
"Beware!" The lanky dealer yelled.
"Sorry Coleman!" Corbett said. "I was coming to lease a gun with 50 bullets … I'm too late? "
"No, you're OK What kind of gun?"
"Handgun please" Coleman sat on his desk, typing your password and select a weapon, dragged it to the immediate release button. A small plastic box shot off the wall, knocking Corbett in the stomach, winding it. Coleman took an intercom and shouted down as follows:
"I thought you said the problems had been solved! What would have happened if I EXPLOSIVE had ordered, EH? "A grumbling indeterminable left the intercom. That seemed to satisfy Coleman, and calmed a bit, he helped Corbett stand up. Corbett took the box from the floor and opened it. Inside was a bright Heckler and Koch gun shot 38.9 G-12, inside a black leather holster. Under the gun in the holster was some ammunition, which Corbett inserted into the gun. Corbett surrounded the belt and holster, thanking Coleman, left the room.

Two hours later, Corbett was lying in a bush, looking through binoculars in a big mansion house. Three armed guards at the door of the house, guns drawn. Corbett was here, because an international kidnapping had knowing that there would be next target in this home-abduction of the daughter of an oil tycoon. The kidnappers undoubtedly would have bet the house and who knows all about it how many guards were, when they have changed and the weapons they had. Corbett, however, was planning to surprise the hijackers when they were there in more vulnerable when they were trying to dominate a girl of five years they were kidnapped. Corbett pulled put his gun for the millionth time, verifying that she was still loaded and still was operational. Corbett was waiting for hours, but he was not bored. He had to get his job back and get back meant he would to be in the mud, then he would.

Two hours later, Corbett was still in the mud. He was eating a ham sandwich and was bored. He was about out and call it a day when a movement in the trees caught his attention. He stared at the trees until suddenly two black figures dressed exploded, followed by three more. A second batch of men was carrying a dangerous looking missile launcher, all others were carrying guns small.
Man carrying the rocket launcher stopped, bringing to bear the three policemen who were shouting frantically into the radio and running for cover. The man with the rocket launcher fired. A cloud of dust on the explosion of the police. When the dust settled, one of the officers were lying on the ground motionless. The other two were taking short-range weapons Hand and shoot, but where will the bullets were everywhere. The kidnappers were moving fast and the police were being forced back into the house. Police was still yelling into their radios, but no answer. The attempt to pull the doors closed, the police were flinching every time a bullet ricocheted off the stone steps takes or the heavy wooden doors and does not take long for one of the policemen came down holding his shoulder. The other officer had a look at their colleagues on the floor and ran down the hall. Corbett felt it was time to make a dent in the numbers hijacker before the hijackers had the opportunity to actually kidnap anyone. Noting that the hijackers were not looking in his direction, Corbett jabbed the barrel out of the bushes and pulled the trigger, preparing for impact. The gun jerked his hands as he fired two seconds of bullets into the cold air in September. The kidnappers scattered, leaving one of them on the floor in agony, holding his thigh. Corbett took the gun fast, just control it in time. The kidnappers were looking around but can not see it. While the hijackers were lying down behind cars, trees and various shrubs, two police cars came screaming down the road. The kidnappers saw and ran full pelt into the house, slamming the door shut.

Seeing his former boss, Sir James Gatling emerge from the first police car holding a large gun, Corbett decided to stay in the bush for some time. Gatling looked furious and was running toward the house. The bullet hit the concrete next to him and Gatling immediately fell on the gravel, trying to escape the bullets breaking the ground. Three policemen have been dragging over the policemen injured kidnapper's first shots behind a Ferrari, which was already full of bullet holes.

Two other police officers running around the house, making sure the hijackers were not escaping through the windows. Corbett dragged slowly through the bushes, overlooking the trees where the hijackers had first appeared. They obviously had some hidden get-away car around that area and Corbett planned to reach him and stop him. Shuffling through the bushes, Corbett, suddenly saw a van large. Looking at him, he could say he was the kidnapper van. (The vans have not rationalization.) Corbett noted that he was out of sight the house and then got up, brushed himself off and, clutching a silencer to the end of his pistol, shot the catch holding the hood. The bullet ricocheted off the hood, breaking the capture of the cover into pieces and then hit a tree. Turning quickly to make sure that nobody was coming Corbett, then picked up the hood and let off the engine. Corbett, then fell behind and emptied the clip into the engine. Oil gushed up the engine. Sparks flew in and electrics broken Corbett turned and fled. He was just in the oil and then lit the time the engine was on fire. Corbett threw to the ground as the van exploded. Corbett could hear footsteps running fast and ran into some bushes, jumping on them. Two hijackers were already running into the clearing, holding an unconscious girl in his hands. Corbett was not surprised that the police had not stopped the hijackers, but in his view, he could hear every word of the hijackers:
"Oh my god! What's happening? Where is everybody? "Said a panic. The other, keeping calm replied:
"They're all dead. You did not see the boss go down? What the hell do we do? No ride, no boss and then there is no freedom. We killed several policemen and now they gonna get us! "Corbett saw the kidnapper wants weapons were in his case because they were carrying the girl (who had obviously been sedated. His head was lolling around and his arm was limp.) E Corbett felt that now was the time. Rising, Corbett pointed his gun at the hostage-takers.
"You're right. To coin an old phrase: you are cut, "he said with an impish grin. Both hijackers looked incredulous, unanimously, before putting the girl down and raise their hands in the air.
Sir James Gatling and another officer fell into the bush, with both arms raised. But Corbett was distracted by them and the kidnappers took this opportunity to address rugby Corbett. Corbett and flew the hijackers ran into the bush. Turning Corbett managed to squeeze off two shots before Gatling took.
"What you're doing here? "Gatling yelled at him before Corbett flashing a quick smile." Good job though. "Corbett smiled before running off into the bush, after the hijackers, just pop back to say:
"At least they have not kidnapped," he said, pointing to the girl lying in the mud. Then, running, crushed vegetation beneath his feet as he followed the kidnappers. However, he had been running for ten seconds when a shot rang out and broke his shoulder. Corbett screamed in agony and put his hand on the shoulder. She left her shoulder sticky with blood. He looked ahead and he could already see the kidnappers close to him with their weapons raised. Corbett does not hesitated. As the kidnappers advanced Corbett pretended to fall to the ground while secretly sticking a gun in your pants. The kidnappers abducted an ever extra person as a hostage. Corbett would be that person and Corbett would stop them, stuck to his shoulder or not. Sure enough the kidnappers picked up, but left me almost instantly. Corbett shouted, turning to see why they dropped it. Two shots rang out and one of the kidnappers fell, holding his chest. Gatling and another officer were charging through the underbrush, with a trend for the girl. The other kidnapper not stop to think. Raising the gun that fired the two men. The policeman died instantly, a bullet through your brain. Gatling has only one shot in the leg and was stuck immobile on the ground, panting. The last remaining kidnapper looked at Gatling ironically and said:
"I would kill him, but it would be a waste of ammunition at scum like you!" Gatling said something unintelligible to the kidnapper who choked Gatling and kicked him where the shot had struck. Gatling and then the hijacker got Corbett shouted and walked up to him in some bushes, where there was another get-away van. Corbett was thrown into the back of the van. Corbett vowed that he landed on his shoulder and spat on the kidnapper, who only looked at him with venom in her eyes. If looks could kill, Corbett would be a small spot on the floor of the van. The kidnapper then left and returned with the girl of five years of age who was kicking and screaming. The kidnapper left her without ceremony next to Corbett. Then he slammed the door shut. Walking around the van, he climbed into the driver's seat, and shaking the key in the ignition, he accelerated through trees. The van returned to the unit. Each jump Corbett hit in the shoulder against the ground and soon the ground was slippery van with his blood. Corbett began to feel dizzy and five years old when he chose to start screaming again:
"Daddy, Daddy!" She yelled looking out the window. Lifting the body up, Corbett just see out the window. The middle-aged man was chasing the van, yelling for his daughter. As the van picked up speed as the man fell back tears running face. The girl was screaming for her father, kicking the door but only succeeded in hurting the door. That was the vision Corbett last saw before he collapsed due to blood loss.

Corbett agreed to fourth silver walled, with two people standing over him. His vision was blurry he could not get them out. He was not sure where he was. He remembered the pain in the shoulder, but now all he felt was a throbbing pain. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain and intense on the shoulder and all that jumped into shape. He had been shot, kidnapped, and now were being shredded sharp implements around his shoulder. Corbett tried to fool but he was tied to the bed. Both men have realized that he was awake and nobody spoke to him in a soothing Scottish brogue:
"Hush now, boy. You are in safe hands. We are just beginning to leave the bullet from his shoulder. "He said. Corbett found that this response was totally inadequate and made their feelings known.
"Hands- safe? I was shot, kidnapped, and I almost died of blood loss! What the hell are you talking about? "He almost cried. The other man now known as Corbett the last surviving member of the kidnapping group pushed the face closely and said:
"You want us to let him die? Fine. You killed us why not we kill? "He cried in Corbett.
"Whoa there Sam!" Said the other kidnapper. "Calm it!" Turning to Corbett said then: "I'll calm you, it just hurts." Before Corbett could protest, the kidnapper took a Scottish needle of some plastic packaging and placed in the hands of Corbett. About ten seconds later Corbett lost consciousness.

Corbett woke up late watching back-up on a guy worried about the future. He felt his shoulder and could feel the bandage over his shirt. As the vision restored, he could say was abducted child bending over him. His face was tearstained and she looked, but stressed that even babbled:
"You okay?" Corbett replied:
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"Good." The girl set her lips: "In that catheter, you can start working on getting me out of here." Corbett was surprised, but she carried on: "Daddy Thaide that if I were kidnapped everyone had to help me or him … er "Here the girl struggled with one word:
"Thew? Thue? Thue. Yeth that'th it. He Thaide he thue them for all they have. "Corbett was shocked at how she was being premature, but he somehow felt that if he was useless the girl would perform and its threat to destroy all his chances of returning to the academy detective. Corbett and ignored it, feeling dizzy lay down. A few seconds later he was asleep.

Awake about an hour later, he found the girl lying on a bed in the corner. Corbett sat on a wooden chair sticky and tried to think of a way out. He stretched his arms and legs, but suddenly shrank. Something was digging into his leg. She remembered putting something in his pants legs, but everything was a blur after that. Surreptitiously hitting trouser legs Corbett felt the shape of your gun. Without knowing whether there were hidden cameras in his cell, Corbett did not pull the gun. However, as an idea crept into his head. It would take time to work because he needed shoulder to be almost completely healed, but he could probably do it.

Two weeks later, Corbett was almost healed. Whatever the hijackers had placed on his shoulder that had been very effective, it could pick up heavy things by hand, without having to release him immediately. There was only slight scars on the shoulder and the bone was unhurt (luckily). Now, Corbett felt it was time to put his plan into action. Corbett did not know where he was, but he knew was in the middle of a city, he could hear the regular hustle and bustle of the city. Walking on aa girl, who now knew was called Yvonne said
"Now. My shoulders healed so my plan can be put into action. I need you to go and lie in bed there. Pretending to be sick. OK? "
"Yeth." Immediately the girl went to bed, the idea of escaping buried in the head. She lay in bed and began to moan. Corbett put his gun in the back of your waist, and immediately started screaming.
"Help! Help! Yvonne feeling bad!" Immediately Corbett heard footsteps running down the hall. A man opened the door and ran to Yvonne. He Corbett did not see rising behind him. He only noticed when Corbett Corbett knocked out the kidnapper. Yvonne immediately stopped moaning and ran out the open door, followed closely by Corbett. The guard ran into one on his way down the stairs, but Corbett shot when he saw him. They were in a house and Corbett could see the front door in front of him. . People were already running towards them. Corbett pulled the front door, slamming it shut so that he and Yvonne were out. Corbett skidded to a stop. He was on the property council in Bradford, where he was born. One of the hijackers opened the door behind them, but already Corbett shot him. Screaming with Yvonne to follow him, Corbett ran toward the house of his mother. It was two blocks away, but the kidnappers were firing at them. A pedestrian contorted like a bullet hit his chest. Corbett ran, breathing catch in his chest. Yvonne was getting back so Corbett went and got her up unceremoniously. Just one more street to go! The kidnappers were gaining on them, but Corbett was in her street. The asphalt under his feet were flying in the air as bullets kicked up. Corbett, running toward the front door of her mother, skidded up stop. He put down and then Yvonne has had a run in the front door, jumping into a flying kick that slammed the door. As the door was already chipped Corbett running back Yvonne to pick up and bring her home. He quickly shoved a desk for the rest of door and then ran up the stairs. He met his mother at the top of the stairs and just said:
"We're under attack. Do not go near any windows or" gates She just nodded, too shocked to speak. Corbett ran and quickly looked out the window, watching the kidnappers ran the garden path. Without hesitation Corbett fired twice. Two hijackers just fell to the ground and lay there, property. He attempted to fire three times, but his gun just click and Corbett realized his gun was empty. Fortunately, he was sixty shots in the pocket then falling to the ground, he reloaded. Took a bullet to the window and wood chips flew upward. A Corbett hit in the face, but he was too busy reloading. Yvonne was climbing the stairs and he almost cried for her:
"Yvonne come down there! It is not safe up here!" To prove his point bullet pierced the wall and broke his mother's best vase. Yvonne screamed and quickly descended the stairs. Clicking the place of ammunition, Corbett stood up and fired two shots. Both shots went wild, is a crushing plant pot and another hitting his mum's rearview mirror of his brand new light blue Ford Focus. Corbett moaned. His mother would kill him! Corbett squeezed off two more shots and fell to the ground. Corbett looked over the window sill and was glad to see another hijacker dead on the floor. Wondering where the shot had gone further Corbett scanned garden her mother.
"Oh shoot!" He could see the flames inside the hangar. His bullet had hit the lawn mower and ignited the gasoline … and his mother kept all his spare gasoline there. Corbett realized this about a second before the entire warehouse exploded, scything a huge hole in the ground. There were only four hijackers were killed and three left in the blast and two were killed instantly in the blast and two were left aside like leaves in an autumn wind. One lucky hit a pile of leaves and was buried. The other hit a brick wall. The kidnapper did worse, being broken his neck as if to break a glow stick to light it. The hijacker past, looking shocked pointed the gun to the window but could not see straight Corbett and the bullet ended his life abruptly. Corbett finally got up, relieved. Turning choked Corbett.
"Mother!"
"Just what do you think you're doing?" She yelled at him.
"Erm nothing …" he replied, nodding.
"Nothing. My garden is ruined, my house is damaged and you call that nothing? "Police sirens were already sounding like pedestrian called the police.
"I'll tell you later." Corbett said. "Now I have to explain to the police." Leaving his mother struck the top of the stairs, slowly Corbett down the stairs wiping his forehead. He called Yvonne and then pulling the table away from the front door and he walked out the door Yvonne. Seeing his weapon, the police withdrew all their own weapons.
"It's all right!" Corbett said, dropping the weapon. "I am a trainee detective Anthony David Corbett. I have identification. "Grab your access card laminated, Corbett presented the police with the truth. Once he had the card back, Corbett then told the police:
"I have Yvonne Kline me." Eyes of the policeman who saw extended Yvonne. They then increased when Corbett collapsed.

Two men led to Corbett Detective academy hospital where he scanned. They found traces of a drug in your blood and then filed a knockout when he was operated on your shoulder to the hijackers had entered a drug that would knock him out if enabled. It must have been in a capsule that broke when the kidnappers sent a radio signal and some should be sent when Corbett had escaped. Fortunately must have taken much time to work, because being at the Academy detective kept in shape and meaning the drug took longer to work.

Epilogue
Yvonne and her family were reunited. So pleased with Corbett to save her, Yvonne's father gave him a gift of £ 2,000,000! Most of this he used to buy his mother a house in the new environment of Buckinghamshire.

Corbett was promoted to detective after he was knighted by the Queen. Sir David Corbett last year was one of the training that would stay forever in your mind.

Sir David Corbett looked into the abyss before him. The man he was chasing had jumped easily enough, but he could? The man had planted a bomb in the middle of a city, people were killed and the gap is so had appeared across the road. They were not very deep, but still large enough to make it harder to jump and deep enough to break a leg or an arm. As the man ran around a corner Corbett made his decision. Pulling his gun, he turned and jumped off the cliff. Around the corner, in a moment of fluid he skidded to a halt, bringing his gun and shoot. Man dent. Standing up to a few seconds later, the man ripped the balaclava Corbett and flashed a quick smile. Corbett smiled back, happy for the first time, Sir James Gatling was satisfied.
