Is it okay to buy any type of grass seed to plant?

I want to start a small indoor herb "garden." I notice that stores in places like gardening, seed packets of herbs are really cheap. Can I trust these seeds will work? Should I buy one of these kits "starter" or simply buy everything separately? What size pots should I start? Thanks guys! Thanks!

good about the games is that they are in first place, more cheap. they have 3-5 pots, all of the right size, some with peat pellets that only water and expand. no need to buy land. and many have some sort of a cover plastic that acts as a greenhouse for seed, promoting growth. the only downside is that they pick the types of herbs you will grow. If you like all with the idea of one, buy a kit. If you do not like their variety of herbs, you can always buy a pk or two seeds to replace them.
