would add sand to the river rock my way to make it more stable?

I have a path that leads to my garden that my husband full of rock in the river round, round trampolines because the mulch kept washing away … but I want the stones are more stable and stand … I can add to to happen

If you throw sand on it, the rocks will eventually disappear under the sand. You mix bricklayer could sweep up the stones river. Only poor rather dry material on the rocks, sweep it around with a broom and let him. Unless you live in a desert that will absorb water from soil and air and configure. And the rocks will be stable … not forever but for a long time. The only other way to do this is to remove the stones, mixing concrete and pour it, then place the stones one by one for the concrete poured. I have done so much and it takes forever, but you can make a great pattern if you have time …… a rock at a time . If you want stable trampolines, remove them and the stones of the river, put a layer of sand, the level is there and continue using the method above to the river stones.
