Gardening Tool Belts
It is illegal to carry a Leatherman / Gerber multitool in Western Australia?
I would buy a multi-purpose use nozzles that appear. I am a garden / maintenance worker, so I'll use the tool. I would also like to take him with me in public when I go bushwalking etc, but I am concerned about knives in the tool making it illegal. I am aware that there are several multitools knifeless available, but the knife is the most versatile accessory, and that I will probably use more. I would not take her to nightclubs, bars and other areas that are obviously not us, but probably take him with me to stores, when you leave, while driving, beaches, etc. I intend to take him clearly visible on my belt. If you took it clearly visible and have been seen with, or were you using to protect yourself, you could probably be charged. When I was growing most children carry pocket knives, some never thought of using them for protection or to harm anyone else. The majority farmers always carried knives in their belts, the problems that arose on a daily basis for example, cutting edge in bales etc. Now the kids are taking them to protection in Perth, so police take a dim view of people carrying weapons in public. Although pepper spray is illegal for protection in WA. If the multifunction was in your toolbox, then the problem would not be my comprehension.
