New Florida garden help !!!!!?

I'm doing my first garden and I'm hoping to have fruits and vegetables, perhaps some flowers. They are separated but still in the garden. But as I said is my first garden I was wondering if someone could help me. What kind of tools I need? When the water should I? The soil should I use? I'm thinking top soil from Home Depot right? Things like that …. If you could help I really appreciate it! Oh, and if you want, you can list some fruits and vegetables and flowers that grow in florida sun! Thanks! and I will give the best answer 10 points no dought!

you will need tools: shovel, rake, hoe, and a shoot if you can afford one. These are the basics. Its soil is sandy, probably, so adding soil along with the chicken manure (best) to get the ground ready for spring. You will have to turn the ground several times and wait until the Spring vegetable (which would be best. test your soil for ph levels. check with your local gardening areas for information and advice. trees Citrus grows well in fla. apple trees do not grow in fla. Your veg base. plants grow well. tomatoes, squash, etc.. Your local gardening store can advise you about all the plants that grow well in your area. I live in North Carolina, but my son lives in fla. So I go there a lot and I lived there for two years, a while ago. Good luck in your new garden, and like I said, your local gardener will be able to better help you with that!
