Great Container Gardening Tomatoes

Special conditions for growing veggies in Florida?
I have a huge container garden at the back of my apartment. I actually have large 18-20 gallon and soil with compost and lots of sun. I just want to know that there are special conditions and or tips for my veggies in such a hot climate (Florida). It's been almost 90 per two weeks and now it's only April. ** I am growing okra, tomato, cucumber, half green beans, eggplant, pumpkin, zucchini, lettuce, garlic.ginger.peppers (Hot and sweet), strawberries, carrots .. Thanks for any advice!
The following link has a lot of good information about planting, irrigation, fertilization and harvest the majority of vegetarians you mentioned, both the container and gardens regularly. The heat should not be a problem, as the plants get enough water, it good drainage holes in bottom of containers and receive 6-8 hours of sun per day. Good luck!
