Never planted a garden before – how to start?

I'm moving into an apartment next month, which has a lot of large south-facing windows and I I would get a pair of indoor Planters. My question mostly concerns an ecosystem box flower. I am interested in planting begonias, daisies, fuschia, nasurtiums, lavender, and Moonflowers heliotropes. I need to plant every species separately? Which of these can grow in the same box? Any more tips on how to start?

Daisies must be dead-headed often by more flowers during the summer months and self sow early and do not flower much at all, but remain green.
