Ten reasons why I have a love affair with tomatoes
If you read the tomato as a vegetable or a fruit – either way – they taste good and add that extra kick for a variety of dishes popular in the world.
With a fascinating history, you never imagine that the tomato is really part of the family the Solanaceae, where a few poisonous cousins there. Interestingly, the strain of tomato is also linked to tobacco, eggplant, pepper, and potato. No tomatoes, some of edibles favorite around the world no longer survive. Overall, I think a tomato versatile vegetable, which shapes the many reasons why I celebrate your existence.
1) The plant-Looking Happy
Tomatoes are not only colorful and come in bright red variety, but also decorate plates with orange, green, pink, purple, yellow, white and even selections. Some are multi-colored, while others show funky stripes. All in all, the tomato is a very attractive addition for a recipe that really helps to raise a gloomy disposition.
2) Salad Ingredient important
The salad is not complete without tomatoes, as there are many different selections to consider. Tomato and cucumber with Italian dressing make a great accessory for any dinner, which is also fast and easy to prepare. Add the cheese cubes for this dish and you have a lunch filling fast, to go.
3) Hamburger Helper
Sprinkle a little salt on the sliced tomatoes and you have a refreshing delight. A juicy burger with all the fixings is not the same without a couple of slices by adding zip and matching perfectly with lettuce.
4) Please pass the ketchup!
Thanks to the tomato, seasoning burger popular ketchup increases taste of fresh grilled items on a hot summer day. Will you please pass the ketchup for my hot dog, chips, French, Thousand Island dressing, sandwiches and other fried foods?
