Container vegetable gardening. Help!?

I live in NE Indiana and growth plan, some vegetables (eg, steak tomatoes, peppers, etc.) in containers out. I am considering using some Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Potting Mix 16 Qt, but I'm not sure how I'll ever need I'm new to this. I was informed that I should use 5 containers Gal to Gal 2-3 and tomatoes to the peppers. They sold the substrate I'm wanting to use Qt in 16 bags I think I want to know is how many bags will it take to fill a container 5 gal? Now I know that 16 Gal Qt 4, but a bag of 16 Qt be sufficient for 5 gal container? Thank you guys so much for any help you can offer on this subject, I am sooooooo lost here: (

Just get a big pot. (Greater of tomatoes and peppers to minors) and i fill up. The bigger the better, because the roots are obliged, if you do not have enough land. I would like to make at least 5 gal for tomatoes. I'm a tomato freak so let me know if you have any further questions.
