It's Time For A Change – 5 Steps to a New You
Do you believe everything you read in magazines and hear on TV?
Get abs like Brittney Spears
Learn how Jessica Alba is developing its perfect Ago
Get Guns the size of Texas
Just 15 minutes a day ….
You all saw it, but do you really believe that?
Unfortunately, most people believe that these are the real answers that will lead them to the body of your dreams. The truth is that the models you see in magazines and TV have been dieting down for weeks and have been working for years! This "Do this workout and look at how this model of" implication is ridiculous and makes people mad.
So many people I hear, see and work in the gym want quick results. They want to do the minimum amount of work, they do not want to train for years, but they want to look amazing in four weeks.
As infomercials many suckered you?
The good news is that your body can change quickly, but you have to be prepared to make some changes!
I have a wedding or large event in three months?
Go to one class meeting?
Need to fit in a bikini before your big holiday?
STEP # 1 Find Your Motivation
Motivation gets you started and keeps you going, so make worthwhile. Why do you want change? The more emotional, the better! The most dramatic changes I have seen recently were from my fiancee who was training for their weddings. They were motivated by the idea of the great demand on the big days!
Write it and keep it near you.
Step # 2 Food is fuel
American eating habits are the cause of obesity, period. If you want radical change, then you will have to revise their habits food. My suggestion is to download our Shopping List and Lean Eating Plan. You will need to refer to these on a daily basis, until you develop new eating habits. Here are three main dietary tips to get you started:
1. Get bad foods out of your home! If they are around, you will eat them.
2. Not calorie drink. Water and tea are your best choices.
3. Start packing your lunch and snacks. Have good food ready is the key to success.
STEP # 3 The best exercise for you is that you are not doing
What? There are two groups people to settle here:
Most people do not practice at all, so they just need to blow your ass off the sofa and do something. Go a walk, take the stairs, climb a mountain, swim, go for a bike ride, etc. You can do these things before work, at lunchtime or after work. The goal is to just start moving.
The other group are people who are relatively active, but they are stuck in a rut. Move, but they are doing the exercises exactly the same for years. I hear it all the time …
"I ran two miles a day for five years and I'm not just to lose some weight. "
Our bodies are amazing to adapt. While a simple walk can be difficult at first, it will become easier and you have to move. Most people that exercise makes the same workouts each week if they are in academia or not. rats Gymnasium will do the same body part, with the same moves at the same weight for years! Runner's will do the same route at the same pace … .. well, you get the picture.
Step # 4 take some time off!
Every day wake up early for work, runs away from home, scrambles to work, notes all day, fighting through traffic, the races of children to activities, shovels food on the way home, plops on the couch, try to relax, so I can not go to sleep because they are so busy. Sound familiar?
You need to have time for yourself. Time to think and time to be able to recover and revitalize. It may be a simple as a walk outside, a book by the pool, a massage of 30 minutes in garden, an art or craft, a movie, a drive in the car, etc. The bottom line is you need to find activities that relax the mind and set them on your calendar.
STEP 5 You need a support team
All major changes require a team. out of work, changing your diet and developing healthier habits are no different. You need to surround yourself with people who think giving yourself a fighting chance. Gather your friends, family, co-workers and start to walk through these steps. If that fails, you may need to hire a coach or personal trainer to help you develop these new habits. The key is finding people who will encourage you and help you along the path.
Change does not have to be difficult, you just must understand that change takes time. You need to be ready for the long-term commitment, but also the need to schedule short victories term. Make small changes in early and allow yourself to gain momentum. As you make the best choices, you will naturally begin to notice improvements in your body and mind. celebrate their small victories and stay focused on your goals.
