How to grow raspberries and strawberries? Any tips?

I'll have raspberries and strawberries in my garden this year, but I know absolutely nothing about caring for them. Does anyone have any tips? Furthermore, we live in Texas, very hot, dry and wet. Also, do raspberries come back each year? It is dry and wet. It rarely rains, we are in a drought. But the very air is always very thick and moist in summer. Humidity always makes it seem hotter than it actually is.

To grow strawberries you need some rabbit droppings. Mix with water and poor on the roots of plants. I had strawberries for many years without fruit until I did it. I found the information on a web site search. also we have our last summer packed and made for some small berries. According to my reading, they are supposed to take the mother plant and leave some babies to take for about three years. So you need to fine them for better production. If you live where there is snow and ice in winter, you're supposed to cover the area with hay or leaves. That will never be enough. If you have your berries in a container garden, make sure there is good drainage so the roots do not rot out. PS There are many types of strawberries. Some produce only from late May until early July. They are called June-bearing strawberries. And there is always having to produce strawberries for a season longer. There are strawberries even get very pink blossoms called Pretty In Pink producing more than the June bearing strawberries.
